okay, so i guess i better write a few words on just how fantastic these little feeding stations are..
so, i popped the feeder at the back of my tank, where i know the mandarins hide and feed, popped some pods into it and watched!
Well, the mandarin were over right away, well that was until my tang realized there was food in there, so in he squeezed and gobbled up all the pods! lol..  After a long chat with Alex, i decided to glue a small piece of perspex making the hole a teeny bit smaller! This worked a treat! one very frustrated tang, but two very interested mandarins!
i gave it a week, adding the pods everyday, and watching when i had a few mins free... they were in within a week! i was very surprised how quickly they got used to me feeding the fish, then adding the pods to the feeder! they knew bless them! so next step was to add the mysis!
They took it like a dream!
I’ve now removed the perspex, that was making the hole smaller, as my tang is a fatty now! (Also my Fingered dragonets are using the feeder, and they can only just squeeze in! lmao!)
Once again, a big thank you for the feeder, it really is fantastic!

I got myself a feeding station and put it in my small training tank:

So, the training tank was ready, I dosed with pods and collected the little girl. The tank is only small, so it didn't take long for her to explore inside this new "box" and I put some more in with her. The resulting video of her eating live food inside the feeder on the first day:
She will be introduced to some frozen next week as I am away at the weekend

.........................................................................

Just a quick update.I went away at the weekend, so the Wife couldn't be trusted to put the pods in the feeder, so emptied into the tank. Upon my return however, Mandy popped straight into the feeder and waited for her pods. Tuesday she was introduced to spirulina enriched frozen brine shrimp and today she is guzzling them down Will try mysis at the weekend, then hopefully she'll start putting on some weight. - Markfish MarineFish UK forum

Found this site/product the other day for those of us with Scooters, mandarins or other dragonets...
Yes the product is called "Dragonets Den", I love the play on words,  It's a dragonet feeding station, if mandarins are anything like my scooter they are so much finicky feeders as pretty dumb and docile so other fish get there first or the food get blown away by the current before it registers with them what it is!
So these clever folk have come up with a little box to feed them in, apparently they can be trained to enter the box, you squirt the food in there and they munch away in peace & get their fill.
I think its cool, but no room in my nano, so for now, until the upgrade gets done, I just have to stick with the turkey baster and a lot of pointing & shouting..."It's right there ya muppet!!"  -
